Falcon stepped onto the competition floor for the first time this year and what a weekend we all had!
Across the 19th and 20th of February we took 6 partnerships (comprising of 15 gymnasts) down to Spelthorne Gymnastics Club in Sunbury-on-Thames. The competition had some of the best clubs from across the country, all hopeful to step out and showcase their hard work and have a chance to get onto the podium, claiming those sort after medal positions.
Our partnerships didn’t disappoint, walking away proudly having achieved the following results:
Grade 5 WP – 1st place (gold medal)
Grade 3 MxP – 2nd place (silver medal)
IDP1 WG – 5th place
Grade 4 WP – 12th place
Grade 4 WG – 13th place
Grade 4 WG – 14th place
As well as some fantastic performances, our coaches learnt a lot and can’t wait to bring this knowledge back into the gym to help bring on all our gymnasts. Falcon’s next competition is on the 13th of March in Milton Keynes for the Regional Prelims (qualifiers for the National finals).
