Falcon Gymnastics – SEND Sessions

Specialised gymnastics sessions for children with disabilities and additional needs.

Our dedicated SEND gymnastics classes are designed for children with special educational needs or disabilities aged from 4 years. Gymnasts are given the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics in a class that is tailored to their requirements, and delivered in a setting that is safe, friendly, and fun.

All sessions start with a fun warm-up to music. Gymnasts will then take part in a variety of exciting activities adapted to meet their physical, sensory, and learning needs.

These specially designed classes support the development of motor skills, balance, and co-ordination. Gymnasts will build strength, control, and flexibility while having lots of fun!

Sessions are led by Falcon coaches who have received ‘Disability Gymnastics’ training delivered by British Gymnastics.

This is why we do what we do

My daughter has been attending the SEND gymnastics sessions since they began. She absolutely loves attending and learning new skills. The coaches are very calm and patient, and are amazing at getting the best out of the gymnasts. These sessions are extremely beneficial for her physical health, as well as being great for her confidence and social skills.  She is excited to go to gymnastics every week and always wants to share her achievements after the session.

My daughter absolutely loves these classes and looks forward to them every week. She is learning so many new skills. The coaches are fantastic, They have built a safe space allowing her confidence to grow and are so patient whilst encouraging her to try new things. This has been so beneficial for her needs. Thank you to the coaches for everything they do.

My daughter has been attending SEND gymnastics sessions for a year. In that year she has learnt so many new skills and gained in confidence in a setting with instructors who have a real understanding of the needs of each individual child who attends. My daughter had the opportunity to compete in a competition which is something we never thought she would be able to achieve.

My child has attended Falcon Gymnastics for the past 5 years and look forward to the session all week. The instructors make the sessions great; they are kind, caring, supportive and enthusiastic. This is very important for us as our child has Autism, ADHD and hypermobility. The sessions have grown their confidence and improved their coordination, stamina and balance. The OT and Physio are amazed at their improved coordination! Well done and thanks to the Falcon instructors.

That all sounds fantastic! – How do I join?

Please email Mel at mel@falcongym.com who will be in touch.

How much does it cost?

We operate a rolling termly subscription of £165 per gymnast.

The above price is per term, which over 3 terms representing 36 weeks. (Please note: some individual terms may be longer or shorter, but over the 3 school terms they will always equal 36 weeks).

If you sign up prior to the start of the term, you have 2 payment options: Either pay the termly fee in full which is £168, or you can split the payment over 2 instalments, however this method does incur an additional service charge from our provider and therefore the first payment on sign up is £84 with the second instalment also being £85 payable about 5 weeks into the term.

If you reenrol once the term has started, we kindly ask that payment for classes is made in full.

If you are a new member and are allocated a place part-way through the term, your fees will be adjusted according to the point in the term at which you are starting.

How to access the car park & session drop off

Once on Hawk drive continue straight – you will pass the South Pole Scott primary site on your left-hand side.
After passing this site, North Pole Scott Primary site is straight ahead, where our classes take place.
Bear to the left and enter through the green gates.
For the main car park follow the road around to the right.
As you turn follow the school building and there will be silver gates on your left-hand side.
Drive through the silver gates to enter the main car park.
From the car park walk back through the silver gates and follow the path along the edge of the school.
You will see the main school reception on your right-hand side – turn left and walk past the red bench.
Just before the road and the silver gates turn right up a small path.
This will lead you to the back fire exit door of the gymnastics hall – these will be the doors the gymnasts enter through.
These doors will open 5 minutes before the start of the session.

For pick up after the sessions

From the car park walk back through the silver gates and follow the path along the edge of the school.
You will see the main school reception on your right-hand side – and just ahead another 2 sets of double doors with a Falcon Gymnastics club sign.
These will be the doors the gymnasts exit through.

(There is also a doorbell on the left-hand side of the doors closest to the Falcon sign if you ever need to speak with anybody outside of entry and exit times).
