Competition Squad

In 2026, Falcon SA Gymnastics Club Ltd created strong links with Falcon Gymnastics Bedford Ltd to help provide continuity for her gymnasts who wanted to start their competitive journey.

This page provides a brief insight as to how Falcon SA Gymnastics Club Ltd only work within a competitive environment to allow gymnasts to fulfil their full potential.

Vision:

We are one “Falcon”, passionate about gymnastics, working hard every day to “raise the bar”, and our reward will be filling the podiums with first, second and third place medal winning gymnasts.

Falcon Gymnastics Club has worked tirelessly to create one of the most successful, inspiring, and dynamic Acrobatic competition squads within the East.

The excitement and joy of identifying and developing gymnasts from all backgrounds through to them taking their first steps onto the competition floor in front of an audience, parents and judges, drives our coaches to bring out the very best in our squad gymnasts.

Our squads train up to five times a week and through their hard work we are proud to have won 153 medals since 2018 across County, Regional and National Championships.

This is why we do what we do

Preparation Squad

This group consists of gifted gymnasts who have been talent-spotted across Falcon’s recreational club sessions to help them prepare for the demands of becoming a Competition squad member at some point in the future.

These sessions are designed around core body movement, flexibility, and all-around fitness. A lot of their time is dedicated to individual skills, where technique is at the forefront of the lesson. Fun, team spirit, and success is a prerequisite for this group of talented gymnasts.

This is why we do what we do

Foundation, Development and Team Gym Squads

Created as a pathway for Falcon Gymnastics Club to identify gifted gymnasts from all our recreational sessions and school clubs. These sessions are by invitation only and allow the gymnasts to improve their skills, flexibility, and core strength before either progressing to the Performance squad or directly to the Acro Competition squad.

These sessions are focused on individual skills with introduction to Team Gymnastics and Acrobatic partnership work. Periodically our excellent team of Competition squad coaches will review, identify, and mentor key gymnasts in readiness for them to progress to the next stage of their development.

Performance Squad

The Performance squad is also by invitation only and is made up of Advanced squad gymnasts as they progress through the club’s elite competition development plan. Its strategy is to help develop the gymnasts’ familiarity with routines, working in partnerships, and expressive dance. This is accomplished by taking part in Team Gymnastics competitions, displays, and local friendly competitions with other clubs. These core skills and experiences are the backbone of becoming a member of our Competition group.
