Falcon identified 12 partnerships made up of 27 gymnasts from within its Acrobatic squad, to take to the Eastern Regional Prelims, held at Milton Keynes.
This year’s preparation brought with it some additional challenges such as partnerships changing grades and most gymnasts were coming off the back of Falcon’s very successful and entertaining biannual club display which was held on 5th of January 2024.
From the start, everyone selected knew what lay ahead – hard training, long hours mixed in with grit and determination – the recipe for a competitive gymnast. The Prelims were well-attended and had more than 60 partnerships competing for that elusive first place on the podium.
As a club we are delighted to have secured National representation for half the partnerships we entered – a fantastic achievement – well done form all Falcons coaches. Two partnerships are heading off to the National finals in Stoke-on-Trent and four partnerships will be making the journey to Southampton for Inter-Regional Finals.
To the 27 members of Falcon’s 2024 East Regional Team – please stand and take a bow. All the coaches are extremely proud of you and cannot wait to help and support your preparation for the next stage of competition.
