Falcon’s Performance Squad has just returned from a long weekend competing at the “Catleaps Invitational†competition in London, one of the most prestigious competitions within the UK.
Gymnasts had to perform an individual floor routine and two vaults, with the combined score determining their position in the competition.
The team’s head of delegations was Sue Birchall, MD of Falcon Gym Club, who was aided by Catriona, head coach; Navi, Choreographer; and two of our best Judges, Emily & Olivia.
The team consisted of 18 excited but nervous gymnasts who were keen to show everyone, but especially their coaches and parents, just how hard they have worked for this event.
The gymnasts didn’t let us down achieving.
- 2 Gold Medals
- 6 Silver Medals
- 1 Bronze Medal
- 3 Trophies for highest Score on Floor
- 2 Trophies for highest score on Vault
The squad and parents had fun, with a great atmosphere created by the organisers ensured everyone made new friends, enjoyed the day, and excelled themselves in the pursuit of perfection.
The judges had an interesting day, learning new interpretations of some obscure rules and regulations, so well done to them and a big thank you from Sue. The coaching team had their hands full with keeping the gymnasts calm but focused on competing for Falcon.
Every one of the gymnasts performed brilliantly and they should be delighted with what they achieved over the weekend. Their parents and the club were so proud, and Trina, Navi, Emily, Olivia, and Sue all want to say a huge well done to them. Great couple of days, great competition.
