Falcons Annual In-House Championships, 23rd March 2025Â
Doors opened at 8.30am to the many gymnasts and parents attending this year’s In-house Championships involving our Foundation, Development, Preparation and Performance squads.
This event, for many of the gymnasts, was their first opportunity to compete in front of an audience. All coaches remember those feelings of excitement and nervousness, but with great support, coaching, and reassurance from all Falcon’s staff, the gymnasts had a fantastic day.
Gymnasts took part in floor, vault and tumbling disciplines, with medals awarded for the individual apparatus and an overall trophy for the combined winner of each of the 9 levels. The standard of gymnasts from all squads was incredible.
These events are so important to Falcon and enable us to plan “what’s next†in the coming months in terms of gymnastics curriculum, so thank you to our parents for allowing your gymnasts to spend Sunday with us and to the many helpers and officials who set up and put all the equipment away afterwards.
In 49 years of running Falcon Gymnastics Club, it is still wonderful to see the great teamwork and professionalism from such a motivated team of gymnasts, coaches. and helpers; it was a pleasure to be surrounded by you all.
I want to say well done and thank you to everyone who attended Sunday’s competition. I cannot wait until next year’s event, and, in the meantime, gymnasts please train hard and don’t forget to reach for the stars and fulfil your potential.
